Cooper Kupp is a wide receiver for the Los Angeles Rams. Primarily working as a slot receiver, Kupp was born in Yakima, Washington. Kupp was a standout football and basketball player in high school, leading his basketball team to a state title his senior season. He played college football at Eastern Washington where he won the Jerry Rice Award for Most Outstanding Freshman Player in the FCS. He went on to win the Walter Payton Award for Most Outstanding Player in the FCS two years later. Now in the NFL, Kupp is the leading receiver for the Los Angeles Rams alongside teammate Robert Woods.
Cooper Kupp played high school football at Davis High School in his hometown of Yakima, Washington. Kupp was a star athlete in both football and basketball. Kupp played both defensive back and wide receiver in high school. His senior season, he set a school record with 22 touchdowns. He finished his high school career with 110 catches for 2,1000 yards. He led his basketball team to a state title his senior season.
Kupp committed to Eastern Washington University where he redshirted his freshman year. The following season, he set the national freshman record for receptions (93), receiving yards (1,691) and touchdowns (21). He went on to win the Jerry Rice Award for Most Outstanding Freshman in the FCS.
In his third season, Kupp finished with 114 receptions for 1,642 yards and 19 touchdowns in just 11 games. He became the first Eastern Washington player to win the Walter Payton Award for Most Outstanding Offensive Player in the FCS. Despite speculation of entering the 2016 NFL Draft, Kupp elected to play his senior season. He finished his career with 428 receptions, 6,464 yards and 73 touchdowns, all FCS records.
Kupp was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the third round with the 69th overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft. He began his rookie season as the Rams’ fourth wide receiver. He saw action in the first game of his rookie season, going for 76 yards and a touchdown. He played in 15 games his rookie season, starting in six. Kupp finished his rookie season with 62 receptions for 869 yards and five touchdowns. He was named to the 2017 All-Rookie Team.
In 2018, Kupp’s second season, he became a starting wide receiver for the Rams. However, due to injury, he played in just eight games when an ACL injury ended his season in Week 10. Kupp managed to return from injury in time for the start of the 2019 season. He managed to start all 16 games the following season, setting career highs for receptions (94), yards (1,161), and touchdowns (10).
Now in 2020, Kupp is one of the premier receivers in the NFL. He is on pace for another 1,000+ yard season in 2020.

Cooper Kupp was born in Yakima, Washington to Craig and Karin Kupp. His father was a former NFL quarterback in the early 90’s. His younger brother Ketner also played at Eastern Washington and briefly for the Los Angeles Rams before being cut. Cooper’s grandfather Jake was an NFL offensive lineman. Cooper met his future wife Anna Croskrey at Eastern Washington. They have one son, Cooper, who has born in 2018.
