Amari Cooper is a wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys. Born in Miami, Florida, Cooper played high school football with fellow NFL player Teddy Bridgewater. Cooper played college football at Alabama where he was a Biletnikoff Award winner for the nation’s best wide receiver. Cooper was also a standout in basketball and track at high school.

Cooper was selected with the fourth overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders. During his rookie season, Cooper became the first Raiders wide receiver since Randy Moss in 2005 to have consecutive 100-yard receiving games. He set franchise rookie records for receptions (72) and 100+ yard receiving games. He was also the first rookie in Raiders history to record over 1,000 yards.
Cooper followed his Pro Bowl rookie season up with another Pro Bowl season in his second year. Cooper finished his second season with 83 receptions for 1,153 yards and five touchdowns. However, 2017 was a down year for Cooper. He missed four games and despite a hot start to the season, ended with just 48 receptions for 680 yards.
In 2018, Cooper got traded to the Dallas Cowboys in October for a 2019 first round pick (Jonathan Abrams). Cooper helped the Cowboys to a 10-6 record and an NFC East title. He finished 2018 with 75 receptions for 1,005 yards and seven touchdowns.
Cooper put up another strong season in 2019 when he finished with 79 catches for 1,189 yards (career high) and eight touchdowns (career high). As a result, Cooper was offered a five-year $100 million contract by the Cowboys following the season in March of 2020. In 2020 Cooper was off to another hot start before the injury to Dak Prescott. Even with backup quarterbacks most of the season, Cooper is still having another big season in 2020.
