Strengths: Mickey showed very effective shot-blocking ability in his two years of college ball. He’s an above average athlete with an improving jump shot and post presence. He aggressively attacks the rim off-the-dribble, and he can grab rebounds in bunches. Mickey has solid defending hands with a great motor and basketball IQ.
Weaknesses: Mickey doesn’t have the skill set to play wing player, but he certainly lacks strength and height when it comes to being an NBA big man. He needs to be far more consistent with his offensive game, and his post offense and defense will struggle at the next level. He has true potential in a lot of areas, but is a true “tweener” at this point, similar to his LSU underclassmen counterparts of past drafts (Anthony Randolph, Tyrus Thomas, Stromile Swift).
