Strengths: Hernangomez fills his body well, and he uses his solid frame to his advantage. He is always in on rebounds both offensively and defensively. He has solid footwork (even though it seems a little clunky at times), and he has the ability to put the ball on the floor and get to the rim to mix it up.
Weaknesses: Hernangomez has a good feel for the game, but his lack of athleticism leaves him prone to be beaten often. He will occasionally miss the easy shot due to his less-than-elite athletic ability. He’s not the best shot-blocker in the world, and he’s not an extremely scary defender overall. That being said, his balanced ability and smart play should get him drafted in the second round by a team in need of a big man.
