Richie Martin, not Ricky, has an archetypal approach at the plate for a shortstop. His line drive approach leads to low power numbers, but he has the speed to turn a gap double into a triple. His frame and arm strength fit the mold of a professional SS and he is a very serious threat as a base stealer.
