You can expect Tate to at least be the first college player taken off the board, if not #1 overall. As a former closer turned reliever then starter, he has swing-and-miss stuff, including a fastball in the upper 90’s that has topped out at 97, a plus slider that’s tight and in the mid-80’s, and he’s working on his changeup and other breaking balls. He has an insanely massive leg kick though that will probably need to be worked on in the pros.
