Shaw possesses the ability to hit for power to all fields. His strong 248-lb frame leads many scouts to believe that he will be a first baseman moving forward. While he turned down the Mets after being drafted in the 26th round out of high school, he had a nice career at Boston College including an impressive 18 game hit streak.
